Farming Forward - Director - Val Beauliua

Val Beauliua, RVT

A farm girl from Manitoba, Val made the likely transition after the completion of the Fairview College Animal Health Technology course, to practice in a mixed animal veterinary clinic.  After more than 20 years working in a mixed animal practice, in 2024 when she decided it was time to put her skills and knowledge into the creation of her own practice: MorEnergy Veterinary Services Ltd in Onoway, Ab.  Within the practice, Val loves the diversity, continual learning, the fast work pace, but her heart lies with the large animals.

Aside from her work at MorEnergy Veterinary Services, Val does contract porcine work, is currently teaching courses for the Veterinary Practice Management Certificate Online Course for Olds College,  and sits on the Farming Forward Association  as a board member.

One of Val’s career highlights was being honoured the recipient of the Canadian Animal Health Technologist of the Year Award in 2014.
